Welcome to Fairfield Glade First Baptist, where our doors are open to all people. We are a group of people who come from different backgrounds with a common commitment to Jesus.

Together we are striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible --a church with relevant preaching and teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we would like to live a joyful and contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the Glade, Crab Orchard, Crossville and our world, one life at a time. So whether you are a spiritual seeker who is just starting to ask questions about God, or you are a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of faith deeper, you can find a home at Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church. Find Your Ministry

My Life � God�s Will

Where do you fit? What is it you enjoy? What are your gifts?

Each week in August and September there will be an insert in the bulletin to talk about different ministries in the church where you may fit, enjoy and be able to use your gifts. So pray about your ministry!

WMU Mission Study on August 9^th at 11:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Doug Watts from Good Samaritan Society of FFG will be our speaker. We will be stuffing Teddy Bears for the assisted living residents as well. See you there!

Dal Shealy will be the guest speaker at our August Brotherhood Breakfast. He was NAIA Coach of the Year in 1971 and 1972. Dal was named college Coach of the Year in the state of Virginia three times. Dal left coaching in 1989 to become the Ex. Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Please plan to attend on August 14^th at 7:30 a.m. Bring your friends, neighbors and relatives. Young men are welcome to come listen to this amazing speaker. You don�t want to miss this opportunity.

Hodges Ministries: Our next trip to Hodges Ministries in Decatur, AL will be on Aug 12, 13 & 14, returning to church around 5 p.m. on Saturday, the 14^th. We�ll be sorting and packing Christian literature for shipment to overseas missionaries. Come and join this ministry for spreading the �good news�. Sign-up sheet is located on the downstairs bulletin board along with a schedule for 2010. Information: Pat Harris 707-0539

The Personnel Committee Meeting has been changed to August 16^th at 4:00 p.m.

Community News....

The Lifetime Learning Project:� Registration for the Lifetime Learning classes begins August 10^th at St. Francis Catholic Church in FFG.� This year, 18 classes are being offered.� Two classes are being held at our Church.� For more information, pick up a brochure in the foyer.� You may also mail the registration form and check after August 10^th.� Classes begin in September.
